2000 S500 the door closer on the drivers door will not work. I tried replacing the hole assembly in the door but still no good. Thanks for the help

When there is a closing assist problem there will be a stored code in the PSE control unit.

The door won't start working until the code is cleared.

Will a generic scan tool clear this code or is Star Diagnostic System (SDS) required?

ODB2 won't get close...Many scanners like "Launch", Baum, PC Retriever, Autologic can read & erase as well as the DAS laptop from MB.
