Crankcase Position Sensor Re-initializing

I found and removed the CPS last night. The key is to having a mirror and the right size torx wrench no longer than 5 or 6 inches because there's no room to turn anything bigger. I ordered the new part and will be installing it this weekend. I understand that I can reinitialize the CTS by driving in 3rd gear for 30 seconds at 2100 RPM at 50% load. My question is how do I know when I'm at 50% load and If I don't do it right will I know? Will the same original symptoms come back if initialization is not done right? Thanks

Never had any issues reinitializing a new replacement other than normal driving.
You did not mention what the original symtoms were?

Spin over no start, dying while driving, then starting back upo after a half hour?

If it dies while driving, it will set a fault code, if it spins over, but does not start, it normally will not set a fault code.

CUDASPAZ,
Thanks for your input. If you click on my ID you can view my previous postings regarding the symptoms. Mostly as you described except never got any codes even when it stalled while idleing.

This procedure is known as "flywheel adaptation". The purpose of this is to ensure accurate misfire detection. Although MB recommends that this procedure be performed following a variety of repairs (engine mount replacement for one), it rarely is. Don't worry about it.

I just replaced mine and proceeded normally. No problems.

I replaced mine and did nothing else and all is fine.

My symptoms were a random no start and then starting and running normally. This progressed to the car randomly dying while driving and then restarting and driving normally after an arbitrary amount of time.
