'84 190E Vacuum ???

I bought an '84 190E that idles rough. I suspect vacuum leaks. Where can I obtain a schematic/diagram of the underhood vacuum system? My Haynes manual does not include that information. Also, is there anyone who offers a vacuum kit with ALL of the connectors and tubing/hose? Thanks for your time.

There is no such thing as a kit. The posibilities for intake leaks go way beyond the simple small plastic tubes and their connections. Typical leaks that are of significance will involve the airflow meter boot or the idle air passageway hoses (under the intake). The answer to doubt about vacuum leaks is to test for them. There are lots of techniques. The one we use that is safest is to remove the end of a stethescope and place the tube in and around the intake and listen for the leak. A piece of tubing can also do itWe also have an ultrasonic leak detector that picks up the noise quite easily.

Professionally, we use a smoke machine. That is a device that creats thick low pressure smoke. The smoke is directed into the intake and the normal opennings are pluggged. A significant leaks instantly are spotted as the smokes escapes.
