2000 C230 Wiper Motor

Is this assembly removed from outside the vehicle or under the dash? It has the Mono-wiper. I hope it is removed from the outside, however I have been unable to find away to remove it. Any information and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The wiper transmission is removed from the outside.
You have first remove the two platic cover on the left and right side of the windshield, they cover 6 screws and 2 10mm platic nuts. Then you remove the 2 screws down in the middle that hold a little platic cover. Remove the platic cowl, its held down by platic clips. After thats removed you should be able to access wiper transmission.

Thanks, I give it a try tomorrow, too cold out there tonight. Al Gore is up in the night, this has been the coldest winter since 1993. I'll most likely get stumped and need to ask you some more about it, thanks again.

Plastic cog driven by motor worm gear.

Hi Redcoup I got it off and disassembled. The teeth on the plastic drive cog that is driven by the motor worm gear are worn down; the cog is useless. Are these cogs available after market that you know of?

Not that I know of, your best bet would be to find a used motor.
