1984 280 SE Euro
Can anyone give me some help finding an Additional Idle Air Slide for an 1984 280 SE Euro. This is the M110989-12-064813 in the 126 chassis.
The Mercedes number is 000-141-15-25. In cold weather the car simply refuses to start. |

It's actually an Auxiliary Air Slide. You should be able to get a US dealer to order one from Europe. There are also two numbers listed for a US 280E, 0001410625 and 0001141125 that might work.
But this is a very expensive part. Are you sure it's the problem? The air slide supplies extra air when the engine is cold to raise the idle. I would think that if it were the air slide, it would start but be difficult to keep running when it's cold. A hard cold start can also be caused by the warm-up regulator or the cold start valve or the relay the that controls it.
