Shifter play

What would coz the shifter to play? Could it be the cable or some clips that
is suppose to hold the shifter in place? Coz everytime I put my gears in drive
it feels like you're in 3rd and not in drive. Please advise if got any part number
for the parts or technical pic. that I can show the dealer for parts.
