96 C280 ECT Sensor

Hi , I have a code P0116 on 96 C280. It is my understanding this fault is in the ECT sensor circuit. Does this usually indicate that the ECT coolant temp sensor itself is defective?

Is this sensor available from FastLane or is this a dealer item. I do not see it listed at Fastlane
