Rough Idle C220
 

Hey All,

Have a 94 C220 that has a rough idle when in gear. It idles around 500 when in gear and you can hear the headliner shaking. Very annoying. Anyway, I have replaced the plugs, wires, and MAS. Now the plugs and wires are factory MB, but the MAS is aftermarket, but was brand new.

Anyone have any idea what could cause that? Possible that I got a bad MAS?

Oh yea, it is giving a code for a bad camshaft position sensor. Would that cause this?

Also does anyone have any idea where that sensor is located?

Its not the MAS if it is running. Has the head been off recently?

no to my knowledge the head has never been off. That code just popped up a few weeks ago but I have always had that idling problem.
