I have an E320 and the battery wont stay charged even after I put a new one in whats my problem

What year e320? Where are you located? There are many service centers that will check your charging system for free. They will be able to determine if the alternator is bad.

Your alternator is knackered and not charging the battery, don't know what the american word for alternator is as I am from Scotland.

The American word for alternator, is alternator. I'd like to know what the American word for "knackered" is. :D

If the battery shows a charge while your driving, but goes flat overnight you have probably got a bad diode in the alternator.
