Hello, new to site.
Have a 1999 s320 and vacum pump under rear sear has failed. It had been working intermittently for the longest time now it does not turn on. interesting also the fuse in trunk seems for it and the trunk light is constantly blowing out. Even when i replace fuse pump does not work. Maybe shorted inside? Price for this pump is about $800.00. Anyone have any ideas on how to repair? Is there a reputable remanufacturer?
Car is worth about 10k. Does not make sense to spend $1000. for pump to lock doors. All suggestions appreciated.
