'91 190E 2.3 coolant loss
Experiencing coolant loss this weekend with our higher temps now in the L.A. area. I traced it to a coolant cap with a shot sealing gasket. As it was an emergency, I replaced the Mercedes cap stamped as '140' with a 20lb/sqin Stant - listed as a replacement. I understand from an archive search here the 140 means 1.4 atm, which IS about 20 lb/sqin. Is there any good reason to replace the Stant with an OEM part?

If it's doing its job (i.e. holding pressure) then I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure some purists here will scream otherwise.
The OEM part is cheap, so if you REALLY feel like "keeping it real", then pick one up here at FastLane for insurance...

Thanks! I was hoping I wouldn't have to be concerned.
