190E Fuel pump relay

Can someone tell me where the fuel pump relay is located on a 1986 190E 8v? Earlier posts suggested that it was behind battery but I dont see anything there. Fuse box and rectangular black plastic box that contains a square silver relay and also a relay with 2 fuses on top is located near the firewall on the drivers side but I still dont see anything that says kickdown or anything that resembles fuel pump relay. I have a spare relay on hand just in case, since they seem to commonly go out in this model. I just dont know where it goes. I must be overlooking it somewhere. Thanks

Location of Fuel Pump Relay

The fuel pump relay, overvoltage protection relay and other neat stuff are rear of the battery under the cowl. You have to remove a black plastic vertical partition that separates these items from the battery tray. Get ahold of it at the top and work it around until you can pull it up and out.

The relays and control units can now be seen. The FP relay should be the first large one on the left as you face the car from the front.

Good luck

My FP relay had an abbreviation of the word kickdown. Something like 'Kdwn'. The new one I just got has nothing but numbers on top of it. It is a rectangular black box.
