2000 E320 Wgn 4matic spark plugs

2000 E320 Wagon 4matic, 141,000 miles, V6 with 2 plugs per cylinder:

Ready to change my spark plugs, had a couple of missfire codes.

I pulled one plug, it is a Bosch Platin R1 971. Have not found it in the auto part chain stores.

What are my other choices? Bosch or NGK? Part number? Where to buy, dealer wants $15 per plug.

At this mileage should I consider changing the plug wires too?

Thank you, Patrick

Bought the plugs. Bosch Platin R6 (FR8DPP33).

My question is that the center electrode is very small in diameter, maybe less than 1/2 mm. Is this normal? The box says to gap them at 1.00mm. Is this correct?

Installed the plugs last week - running great! Was just concerned about the small diameter center electrode. The gaps on the plugs all measured to 0.040

The plug boots were difficult to get off. Removed the coils for easier access. Next time will try and buy a boot removal tool to see if it will make it easier.

Thanks, Patrick
