Seat Adjustment on W124 300TE Wagon

Hi,

I am 6ft 4" tall and have great difficulty in finding a comfortable driving position in my 300TE.
I find that when I get the seat far enough away from the peddles I cannot easily reach the sterring wheel.

Does anyone else have this problem ? or a solution ?

thanks

Doug McCutchan

The electric steering wheel adjustment came standard only in the U.S. and in some top models. In the rest of the world is an option, and an option not many people order.

Some people correct the problem by adjusting the seatback in an almost vertical position, shortening the distance between your arms and the steering wheel.

The aftermarket extender is almost out of the question if your car is equipped with a driver's airbag.
