W202 - Problems with side mirror

Hi guys, my w202 came with folding and heated side mirrors. I went to the mall yesterday and folded the mirror after I parked. Tried unfolding them later but it won't move. I checked the fuse and it was busted. I replace the fuse but it kept on busting when I turn on the car with both the folding switch and mirror adjustment switch physically disconnected thinking that the short was there. Any suggestions what could be wrong ? I tried to isolate where the problem is (right or left mirror), but I can't seem to release the side mirror housing. Can someone help me out with a "how to" ? pictures would be great ! BTW, I have the original side mirrors. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe if you say what year you have someone can help. Are you saying the mirrors retract automatically? Are you really in Rome?

The car is a December 1995 W202. The side mirrors does not retract automatically, it folds via pressing a button. Anyway I was able to resolve the problem last night. Like MBDOC's response to another post regarding a 140side mirror problem, I dismounted both side mirrors and noticed that almost all the wires were bare. The insulation basically crumbled and the wires were touching each other causing the short. I rewired both side mirrors and now everything is working as it should be. BTW, I really do live in Rome ! Grazie !
