Now for some more deatils. error code 26=upshift delay defective. Got this twice. After first reading I reset the code reader. About three weeks later it re-appeared. Where do I find the defective upshift delay?

My 1995 E320 had this code. It turned out to be the vacuum valve on the firewall near the brake booster. The part was ~$46.00 and it took all of 3 minutes to replace with most of that time taken be removing one recalcitrant screw.
