clutch replacement

He guys,

Sadly my baby (`88 190 2.6 manual) isn`t driving anymore clutch got stuck somehow.
Now I`m wondering if replacing a clutch is a major repaire or can i just jack up the car and start unscrewing the tranny and so on?

many thx kammie

It is stuck engaged or disengaged? It may just be the hydraulic actuation that is not working. It could even be just low on hydraulic (brake) fluid. Be sure it has brake fluid in the rear portion, which is difficult to see into because that is where the clutch master cylinder gets its fluid.

Good luck

The tranny oil level has been near a few drops for while, on the day that the mess started shifting was getting hard.
I made a stop at a gasstation when I started it wouldn`t start.
I pushed the car a few times and then back after this therapy it started but when I release the clutch it feels like its going to move but when u reach the point that the car has to move it feels like somethings holding the car back.
So after that I had no idea what it could be so I had to get a toe for 50 miles.

Anyway I think you are right Tom because it started after the oil leak started but I didn`t know that it was the same oil as the tranny.

But could I be that lucky that I won`t have to replace the clutch?
