140 New kind of a/c blower problem
Hi everybody. It's summer time in Florida and my ac blower has an unusual characteristic. as the day gets hotter the blower blows slower and slower. First thing in the morning blows well ( but I'm not sure it blows full speed).
Have read every thread here and can not fine a conclusion. Any ideas?. By the way 96 S320 106k miles. At regulator yellow wire 4 volts red wire about 11 volts. When I provide ground the blower kicks into super high gear. Do these numbers and symptoms make the regulator a conclusion or is the control unit still in question. By the way Steve I did read nine pages of posts on the subject. That is why I was wondering if anybody else had a conclusion given the info posted. Thanks again |
Has to be scores of blower regulator threads here.

<<red wire about 11 volts.<<<
You may want to check the connections and fuse for poor connection... That Red should be Battery Voltage. |
Thanks for the help Arthur. I will check the connections here in a few minutes. I have about 12+ volts at the red wire at the motor...it's at the regulator red wire that iit's in the elevens. Thanks again and I will post the result of inspecting the fuse and connections.

sorry about the delay in posting the results. Was the resistor. Found the updated replacement for 90 dollars and it works better than ever. As always thanks for the help I received. For the guy who told me to read posts. Thanks anyway.
Ps. If anybody wants the source of the part e-mail me and I'll be happy to share what I found. Brian |
