1994 Seat belt presenters

My '94 cab with only 13K miles has never had the seatbelt presenter working since I bought it 5 years ago with 10K miles. Both sides are completely quiet not jammed as far as I can see. I have checked all the fuses I think. Could these have been dissabled somehow? The car looks brand new. There is no noise nothing. If one made a noise or worked I might be thinking the usual problems but with this low miles and the flawless rest of the car I really think it is maybe that the first owner found them annoying and unplugged or dissabled a part. There is no service history of ever being worked on. So where do I start - what one thing would you do to deactivate them if you didn't want them working? Hoping for simle solution. Thanks

They may have simply stopped working. Mine quit last year. Both sides at the same time. The fuse is okay. Once in a great while I'll open the car door to find the seat belt presenter in the extended position.

I don't know what the fix is. To some extent I say good riddance, since one thing I hate about Mercedes vehicles is the complexity of "convenience" features.

3K driven in 5 years = 600miles/year = 50miles/month :). Are you a car collector and bought the car for your show room and drive it once a month?

Seat Belt Presenters

I quite like mine except I have to get the drivers side end section replaced next week. Its like have a manservant offer you belt in the way our Prince Charles has a butler put the toothpaste on the brush for him. (sic)
