2001 Trans stuck in 2nd gear
My car is stuck in 2nd gear and won't shift out. The check engine light is on and the car won't allow me to switch from auto to manual shift either. This just suddenly happened. Any suggestions on what has happened?

It's in "limp home mode" to protect the trans. You ought to have R and 2nd onlly.
Will need to be scanned using SDS to read codes, repair and then erase codes before it will work again. |
Was there any liquids spilled on the console area?
Trans codes need to be read & cleared as well as the check engine codes (as suggested). |
