a/c compressor shuts off
 

This on the 88 260e

a/c was working great... good tension on belt.

Is the Klima relay essentially a big fuse? i think i should probably go that route first

engine temp is fine...

the compressor and air was working fine last night on my way back to Orlando from Jacksonville... I could feel it cutting off and on from time to time at highway speed

don't think its a freon problem..air has been cool

The "klima" relay is a Poly-Vbelt protection device, only there to keep the belt from being destroyed from a bad compressor.

MB wised-up in 1996 & quit using that STUPID system!

Check the pressures again, it maybe alittle low. Mine used to cut in and out and the air was still cold.

i will check the pressure again.... i hope it's not low because then there is a leak..
