quick w126 front brake disk question (should one set of holes be threaded?

I did a quick search but didn't find this.

I have new Balo rotors for my W126. I am about to start the job however before I disassemble everything I noted that none of the holes in the new front rotors are threaded?

I believe the rotor is held to the hub by 5 bolts from the inside - however I would expect that the rotors need to be threaded? Part numbers I have (both front and rear and I may have mixed up the boxes so I will post both

Balo 02078 - 126 423 0012 (115 423 0412)
Balo 02041 - 126 421 0012 (126 420 0005)

126's up to a certain year year had bolted on rotors. After a certain year, they were like most modern Benzes, where only a small locating screw holds it in place for assembly.

If I remember correctly, on the earlier models, the hub is threaded, not the rotors.

All 126's have the rotors bolted to the hub.

No threads on the rotors:) It'll all make sense once you pull things apart.

Doh - yea just pulled all the wheels (looked closely at the manual as well) - rotors go on from the back - threads are in the hub.

Now the worse problem - place that put new tires on cross threded 3 bolts in the rear:eek:

I'll see if I can get them to cover the repair
