Nah, that's just California government accounting. Kinda like, "Hey! Let's have a lottery and give the proceeds to the state, then when we spend all those proceeds, we'll just BORROW (and pay interest on OUR money) from the lottery funds" True story.

Hey, what can I say? I'm a former English teacher. Math wasn't my favorite subject. :o

I was just remembering waaaay back in about '92, when I was complaining to my service mgr about a little lag in hot starting (still have that lag by the way).

He said "you could try regular gas, it's more volatile and might light off faster - It won't hurt the M103 engine at all". He really said that - I had just forgotten about it until now.

Of course I wouldn't dare try it in my new MB then. And back than, premium was only about a dime more than regular. But these days, the car is older, and gas costs way too much, and I hate giving those middle-easterners any more money that I have to. (that's something we can all agree on, right!).

Cheers.
