Fuel problem

I've been using Chevron super unleaded for a long long time. Recently changed to 76 station because I've had some startup hesitation and pinging. What a difference!! I don't know if I have been ripped off for how long by this particular station or it is better to change the brand from time to time? It seems that some WA state pump stations have been cheating on customers.
