1997 202 - sunroof won't pop up in back
 

I took my wife's C280 out for a ride. Opened the sunroof in the back. It went up only a little bit. So I figured, it's been closed all winter, maybe it's just a bit stuck. So I close and reopen, but it only opens a liitle. The roof slides back and forth fine, but won;t pop up like it should.

What makes it pop up in back and how do I diagnose / repair?

before you go any further - and I realize the roof goes back and forth fine -
synchronize the roof like you would do after a battery disconnect.

hold the sunroof button in the up position for two seconds, you may want to try the two second method for each of the sunroof button positions.

That might be it. I put a new Benz battery in before the winter and had not opened the roof since. I'll try that! Thanks!
