2005 SLK Console Problem
 

Any suggestions on how to get a 2005 SLK center console door to open properly? It's a very unusual (a designer no doubt thought clever) door that is SUPPOSED to open to the left, the right, or to the center (the last opening to a second, larger compartment than that exposed by the right- or left- opening doors). But is doesn't work!!! The dealership here in the DFW area told me that neither they nor MB has a fix.
I've talked to at least one other SLK owner who suffers from the same problem.
Somebody out there has got to have an answer...I hope!

I think there's a dealer parts center in CA that might have parts to fix your problem...I need to look up some of my old threads to see if I can get the name. I know the guy that I used to talk to no longer works there, but the shop still exists.

Did you learn anything about the SLK console?
