Ignition Control Unit

I,m hopeing somebody can help me, I own a 1986 420SL, that needs a replacement ignition control unit, the part number on the old unit is
010 545 66 32 can anybody please let me know what other units are
compatible ? The thing is I don,t know, maybe the unit in a 1986 420SEL
might do the job, but I thought it would be better to ask the experts.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Regards Michael

ANY of the V8 (M116/117) cars from 1986-91 use a module that will work.

I just wanted to say, thanks very much for your help mbdoc, I completely forgot to say thankyou !!
The problem finished up being the fuel pump relay, and not the ignition module

Not any will work.
M116/117 with EZL and AZL/AKR has different ignition contorl units.
And physically impossible to install EZL/AKR ICU on the car with EZL.

We are in the USA! and any USA M116/117 engine ignition control EZL unit will work.

Only the M119 ignition module has provision for knock control here.
