Snap On MT2500 scanner for SL600
 

I'm looking for a scanner for my 1996 SL600. I really only need it for the engine, transmission and ESP system. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the Snap On MT2500.

Can anyone tell me if the one being sold here has all the atatchements I need. Are there any questions I should ask this seller.

There are various attacments and modules or user termonolodies that I cant tell what they do or mean

Basic modulec
Delux moduules
keys
Pesonalities
Troupleshooting modules.

I need to check out why my engine wont keep running for a 1996 SL600. I will need to check the engine, Trans, ESP and DAS systems?

Can this do it.

Not in this configuration. You need Mercedes Cartridge and cables to connect to you car. Check this item 350041705527. You need this. When I got it in 2002 it was $550 from SnapOn. Troubleshooting module for mercedes doesn't exist. Personality keys are needed to access different systems on the car with same cable. So it gives you access to different pins on the 38 pin connector. I don't know about deluxe or basic modules. I know that SnapOn used EPROMs in the older modules, and the update would come as a new set of them. The newer modules are programmable. But all support and updates will be over by 2009. The latest available old stile EPROM for MB is 2003.
