1988 260e ac problems

I Have Had Ongoing Problems With The Ac On This Car. Last Year I Installed A New Expansion Valve And Washed Down All Engine Parts And The Ac Worked Fine All Summer.

Currently It Only Seems To Work After The Car Has Run For A Good While And The Engine Really Heats Up. When I Restart The Car After Letting Run For A Good While, The Ac Works Fine And Will Continue To Even After Cutting Off And Returning To The Car After Brief Errands.

Could This Be The Temperature Swith On Manifold Or Possibly The Etr Switch On Evaporator.
