|  1983 380 Sec Help! 
			
			Hey guys- got me another one- a nice 380 SEC so I need a few helpful hints-  1. My car runs weird and just curious- is there catalytic converters? could be a bad one if they have it- 2. I have a smooth running engine at park, revs great smooth and really powerful. But in gear driving it seems like it is bogging and misses alot- also when I start it - it kinds hesitates to start like when a distributor is way too advanced or just out of whack. 3. I have no history about fuel filter- which is something i will replace, but there is like a weird feeling - a major miss- but the wires and cap appear to be new- I just wonder did someone mess up the car? Could the plugs be wrong? I appreciate the help I really do- Any and all advice is thanked in advance!

			First on those v8s.....when starting it always hold the gas pedal down about a third if the way. They have a tendency to be tough to start when warm too so I got in the habit with mine to never shut it off unless it would be allowed to sit long enough to cool down. I spent a pile of money chasing this problem and never solved it exept by doing the two things above. Its an aggrivation but other than this the car was wonderful. Tom W
