OP poster states he has a 300E, but the part number is for a W210 - are they the same? Just wondering, since I have a W210 that is making a little noise in the suspension now and then, and I'm going to inspect it soon...

I looked up the part using the "buy parts" tab with Fastlane and that is the info provided. If you suspect the info is incorrect it can be verified with Phil (philip@peachparts.com)

Mercedes parts Insanity

gmercoleza,

It seems as if Stuttgart is actively trying to confuse you at some times...
(It's because we don't understand their "Order"/"Parts Number System")
Everything is very, very orderly , until some one finds that for example:
the best mechanical fan blade for a 124.128 is 606 200 01 23 (606 motor
part on a 602???) The reason it's best is: #1. it allows Mercedes to semi-
standardize parts system.#2.The lighter 606 blade is "Plastico" and much
lighter[far less strain on the water pump bearing]and less inertia to overcome.

You will also see the reverse(an example does not pop up right now).

Mr. "Spark" and "Compression" ignition (likes W124s)

That there rear suspension is a wonderous "Thang" "Ain't It".
You can see how the bushing inside the arm is FUBAR.(In your picture)

From GSXR's link inside his website:

http://www.w124performance.com/images/W124_subframe/rear_links_all.jpg

SO...Which 124 do you like better?

Love to drive them both, cant decide on which one I like better. May like the 300D just alittle better because it is a diesel.
