97 s420 no power with petal to floor and knocking

started something over at benzworld forums but was sent here . heres what i have so far http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w140-s-class/1381467-97-s420-no-power-petal-floor-knocking.html

today i recieved word from the dealer saying that they need to tear down the whole engine and find the cause of cylinder 4 having no compression. also they said cylinder 4 not having any compression caused the other 3 cylinders on the passenger side bank to have a missfire which makes no sence. im pickin up the car from the dealer in the morning to start tearing it down myself hopefully you guys can help me figure out the cause. also i changed the oil and there was no metal shavings or even flakes so i doubt its a rod knock. any ideas would be greatly appriciated due to me getting stuck with this 5700$ car that doesnt run and i cant drive it.

Thanks

ok i now believe after some research that the exhaust was glowing red hot due to the car being at high revs. what will cause cylinders 1-4 to misfire and the check engine light to flash and then stay solid. i have 55 pounds of fuel pressure and all new coils , spark plugs and plug connectors. its a 97 so its not a wiring harness issue. any ideas would be great

THANKS AGAIN
