w124 hvac

Seems my blower motor has decided to crap out on me. I love w124's, I have 2 a 93 cabrio and a 94 e320, but I hate the climate controls. If you push the defrost button it's always hot air, even in the summer time.
So my question is has anyone ever thought of retrofitting a system from a w202 or other series car.
The reason I ask the e320 has its share of maintenance that has to be dealt with along with some body parts that are rusting, so it is going to be my new project vehicle.
So with that in mind and just recently seeing a w202 on the inside the HVAC controls could potentially fit in the stock radio location. But beyond that what and where are the other parts of the system that would need to be installed.
There is going to be the obvious parts like the blower motor, controls, I'm assuming a regulator, and some wiring.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
