Liner pulled away from the sunroof!

Is there anyway to re-attach it to the sunroof? It's a '91 190E. Thanks for the help!

Is there no love here?

Just a shortage of real world practical experience reattaching 190E sunroof liners - nothing to take personally.

If its like a W126, there should be some little plastic clips on the liner that clip into small plastic holes in the sunroof itself. I have mine pulled out, and I have not fixed the roof yet, so I have not yet learned to put one in. I hope this helps.

Try posting this in the detailing and interior section. Mine are attached with clips that pop out, but my car is a 123. Yours probably isn't too different. I think I popped mine out using a flathead screw driver.

Yeah, if it's like a '91 126, open the roof about half way, and look along the front edge of the liner. You should see 4 white push-pins holding the liner up.
Use a small screwdriver or putty knife to pop them out. Then pull the liner out and up over the top of the roof to remove it. Once you get it out, you should be able to devise a way to make the fabric stay up.

Thanks everyone! I now feel the love! I'll give it a try this weekend and see what happens!

On my 124, the vinyl is glued on to some foam - well...at least is used to be, now it sags like the bosom of a 90 year old mother of 10.

You could have spared us that mental image...:)
