Clicking or thumping sound
I own a C320 2003 year model.When I insert the key to ignition I hear this thumping of clicking sound from the keyhole area (dashboard area) it continues for about 3-4 minutes after starting. Can some one help.

Common problem on the early W203 c-class.
Try searching on problems with a/c servo motor issues. Most common problem is a broken footwell flap lever. |
It may be the purge valve for fuel evaporative system, normaly you can hear it when ideling and the thumping sound like a bad main bearing.

Thanks so much. It was the A/C servo. A footwell flap lever.
