help my 1988 190e sunroof is stuck and i can't get it closed and it's raining

help my 1988 190e sunroof is stuck and i can't get it closed and it's raining !!!! I checked the fuse and it is good and i can't figure out how to get the trim, headliner or to the sunroof mechanics. I also have a electrical demon in my power windows only one works. maybe i should get myself a young preist and a old preist to drive it out....lol

I don't know if yours is the same as my 1993 190E 2.3, but here is the information from my owners manual:

Emergency Operation of Sliding Roof.

"The sliding roof can be opened or closed manually should an electrical malfunction occur.

Fold back access cover in left side panel of truck with a screwdriver. Insert socket wrench (from tool kit) through opening in panel and place on the hex-drive of the electric motor. Turn socket wrench (manually) to open or close roof as desired.

To slide the roof closed or to raise the roof at rear: turn clockwise.

To slide the roof open or to lower the roof at the rear: turn counter-clockwise."

got it just went out and tried that and bingo also played with the white knob next to it and managed to get the whole thing to work again. wish now that i didn't pop the healiner peice off because now i can't seem to get it to go back on
