Exclamation Euro spec W126?

hello freinds, its '80 380se has full lorinser kit and rims, interior is cloth, euro headlights but the dials are US spec ones and not the round ones which are europens wore equipped with, so my question is what is up with it? could someone swapped the dials and switches??? or is w126 US model with few Euro mods???

It could be either, but most likely a Euro. In most cases, if the ID plate is on the driver's door jamb, it's US. If it's on the crossmember in front of the radiator, it's Euro.

for parts? dont you think it can be brought to life? i am also in MD, if i get this car, get ready to help me revive her to life once again, i also heard the euro spec 3.8 is as quick as US 560???

your right, but if you look at the pictures, the dials are not euro spec ones? maybe in euro they also had these since cars is '80, early production w126

Euro 380 has 212hp. The Euro 500 is the one with more then the US 560. Euro models also could be ordered with automatic climate control. My Euro 126 was.

The wheels on that thing IMO are ugly as hell but lots of people like them so you could get some $$ for them. The "Centras" as they are known. It also has the velours interior, common on euros, not so common on US models. also if it's a 1980, it's a euro.

Where in MD are you?

1980 W126 = EURO ONLY. It's a very, very early production car.

Mine is around 5500 off the line. Tons of weird options

ACC HVAC
leather
ONE heated seat
fanfare horns
ABS
LSD diff
Power windows

well i live in fast pace life, this thing is gonna slow me down, parts gonna be headache, to maintain will cost me arm and leg,

also we did had 380 SE '85 we could never start it, i even tried to trade that car for a dog one time, young mastiff, but we wrecked it before i got the dog
