I don't have one in my old euro, but that's crazy. I seen used cats selling on ebay for 100s.

If they want to steal mine, more power to them. All it does is ruin my MPG's and power.

Wink America WILL eventually arm itself

The local Toyota dealer had all their truck cats stolen one night. Seems to me the thief would get more $$ selling them (since they are new) to an unscrupulous muffler shop, than to the recycler place.

We had two Toyota ForeRunner cats stolen in parking lots at work. Seems they are easy to get at. Supposedly it can be done in 3 minutes with a sawsall.

You can also use one of those little 'all-purpose' pencil torches.

trucks and SUV are the easiest targets due to their extended ground clearance over sedans.

These days with the cost of everything going up, there will be all sorts of "commodity" thefts

If milk prices skyrocket, will there be cow-jacking?

thieves were stealing the plastic pallets we have at my grocery store. Now we have to keep them inside, thus loosing precious floor space in the back room area

What would someone want to steal a cat for when there's plenty at the shelter for free?

Lukily, the truck doesn't have one and the cars are too low to get access easily...

Brutal.

Another reason I like the (lowered) sport suspension on my E430.
