Misfire was almost gone....Any new ideas?
So I took the car to a mechanic who replaced a bad hose on the intake manifold (I replaced them all so idk?)
and the car was running pretty good...but power was GONE. It was the slowest that I have ever felt it... So I basically was trying to figure out why the hell all the power was gone by a simple hose being replaced.....then I realized that about 6months ago I gave a tweak to the EHA valve so see if lower chamber pressure was an issue, so I unplugged her, turned it back to the stock position and I got the power back :D ....but at the cost of the misfire. The misfire got worse back to where it was before. Can this give any indication to anything?? I am taking the car to a shop with a leak detection smoke machine next week as I just found a shop that has one locally so I say with absolute certainty that I have no vacuum leaks left. |
Have you checked the ignition wire's resistances? Might have a bad tip.
Once you've pulled the boot off of the plug, unscrew the tip, and check resistance - 2k, I think is correct, but you ought to double check. |
