help on new break disk
hello every body,
Just bought new original break disks for my car from MB dealer. They come with a grey coating, do I have to remove it before use? or can they be just mounted with it? thanks for reply |
Where is this coating??? if its on the surface that the pads ride on then yes clean it off. Is the coating like a grease??

The coating is every where on the surface of the disk, it is dry , it not greasy it looks like a coating used for storage. Which product should I use to remove it? |
That coating is designed to be left ON. That coating helps with rotor break-in.
When you get ready to drive, go slowly and brake several times. speed up & brake a bit harder until the brakes stop the car normally. |
