Spark plugs taper vs gasket seal?
I just replaced my spark plugs. The parts store sold me Bosch plugs with a gasket seal. The old plugs were tapered without a gasket. Is there any problem using either type of seal?

Which engine are they going in?

It is a 103 engine. 1991 300E 4matic.

The 103 engine uses a tapered seat plug. The gasket seat plugs are wrong for the application. I do not recommend to use them. You should take them back for a refund or exchange.:mad:

Tapered seat plugs are not interchangeable with flat metallic gasketed plugs.

Just ordered the correct plugs from Phil. He advised to get two sets as Bosch no longer makes this plug. Will replace the gasketed plugs right away. Thanks for the input.
