Tests are done at the blower motor regulator. UNDER hood, removal of the air intake is required.

thanks muchly. Off to the shop I go!
|
So I took it the shop(certified MB shop), they came back with- needs new fan motor, fan and fan regulator(as one assembly). Parts- $950, labor- $150 +TT&L. Total around $1200. No thanks! So I took everything apart(as per directions), disconnected the regulator and fan leads, and jumped the fan from another battery. It fired right up. Bad regulator, I presume? Any insight?
Thanks in advance.... |
The lkely cause is the regulator, the next could be a binding shaft on the motor. The regulator is in the ground side not the posetive side
|
Correct!

Thanks! Regulator ordered! Be here tomorrow. I'll let you know if it worked.
