2000 E320 slight miss at idle
 

My brother's 2000 E320 has a slight miss at idle,does not trigger the check engine light,all plugs and wires are relatively new...so,its just annoying sitting at a light and feel the car missing every 3-4 seconds,one can see the idle changing slightly when that happends,once you step on the gas it feels fine,no hesitation.Any advice will be helpful.

I had a similar issue with my 2002 E320 last year. The local dealer couldn't identify the problem. My indi finally found that one of the spark plug wires on the No. 6 cylinder was failing. Two new spark plug wires corrected the problem.

you need to view the "smooth engine running" page to pinpoint it to a certain cylinder when its happening. you local dealer should be able to do this. maybe even some indys with the correct software.
