92 300 4maitc help
 
Hi,

I have a 92 300e 4matic wagon with 160k on it. Most all of the time the 4 matic light is on. When it is on the trans won't shift out of first gear. When it is off the trans shifts fine. There is binding on corners.

Any suggestions. Thanks

You guys are the kings of Mercedes diagnostics. Even if you tell me just to scrap the car that would be better than nothing. I have looked and found similair situations but none having to do with trans limitations. Thanks.

What happens when you put the 4matic in test mode?
