'84 280sl instrument cluster electrical problem

I recently pulled my instrument cluster on my 1984 280 sl Euro. I removed the clock to be repaired and replaced a few bulbs and cleaned it all up. I never removed any wires, etc. When I put the cluster back into the car and hook up all the wires I get one problem: when I use the turn signals the needles of my gauges move in time to the indicator. I have taken the cluster in and out many times to see if there is any short, etc. and have found nothing. Does anyone have a clue to what the cause might be?
Thanks

Sounds as if there is a problem with the grounding of the cluster. An easy check would be to make a ground lead and attach it under one of the screws holding the gauges to the cluster. If the problem goes away then you could diagnose the grounding circuits or just leave it with the aux ground. I've seen it plenty times where there was an extra non factory ground wire run for the cluster on those cars.
