99E series w210 windo reguator repair
 

I have the bad rear window regulator. I found the cable clip and I was able to buy the peice itself for $7.

Now my ingnorance, I can't figure out how to get the cables attached. I've starred at it for an hour. Determined I an stupid American comparred to German engineer.

99, 300 TD same as the E320 but better.

Where did you get the clip?

I would think that it must dismantle to get the wires in there, but it seems to be riveted together.

Yes, it is rivited together. MAkes no sense to sell something you can't assemble.
