I dm trying to locate the Evaporatot temperture sensor on a 1999 SL500.

I do have the Factory Manual, but the drawing is very difficult to understand. I have removed the cover that runs from the console, below the steering colum and to the far left hand side of the interior, and pereformed a 2 hour search everywhere, but still can't find it.

Any advice ??
