w140 S320 M104 Fan Blade Orientation
Hello;
I just replaced my viscous fan clutch, even though I am positive I must have placed the fan blades correctly I did the whole work in quite a rush now I am a bit paranoid if I placed the fan blades correctly or not. Can anyone PLEASE post a picture of the fan blade orientation of a W140 S320 with a M104 engine, I mean when you look from above are the blades like this "/" or this "\" Thank You So Much In Advance. |

Just turn the engine off while watching the fan blades come to a stop, The air cutting edge should be in front ..[ towards radiator], b/c the fan turns CCW , looking at the engine from the frontal view... Notice the blades are cupped ..that should tell you right there... |

Hmm, thanks, so this is definately wrong then, I mean the flat end is now on the back and the edges of the flat end seem more thin.

See the leading/cutting edge at the FRONT of the cup of the blade??? It is the the cup that transfers the airflow towards the engine... |
Thank You Very Much too Arthur Dalton, you both have been a great assistance. Very Appreciated.
