I just got a 1980 500SE and checking the speedo against my GPS the speedo reads 10 mph faster than the GPS is this normal? If not whats wrong?

same problem but opposite

I have a 94 e320 coupe
that against my gps it is slow VDO reads 80 gps says 75
I will believe my gps until i see the red lights behind me.
