'90 300 SEL instrument panel lights don't work
 

Hey, the instrument panel (speedometer, tach, fuel gauge, etc) does not illuminate and also the lights that light up the hazard switches, air con, defroster, etc. How to fix?

Also, what is weird, is that when I turn the lights on and off and then back on, the lights come on for a split second, then they turn off again really quick. What's going on?

What about the lights on the switches on the console by the shifter? have you played with the dimmer?

Yeah, those lights by the shifter don't work either. The dimmer doesn't do anything.

Its probably that then. If you play with it sometimes it will work again, or you can solder a jumper wire across the resistor or whatever it is and just have full power all the time
